Verizon equipment that you no longer require or wish to return can be found in a number of places. You will also have to return Verizon rented equipment after your service expires, if you did not finish paying it off.

To find out where to return your Verizon equipment and what I’ve learned about the return process, continue reading!

What will happen to my Verizon equipment in 2022?

In 2022, you can return Verizon equipment purchased directly from a store or website to a Verizon store location. If you purchased your Verizon equipment from an authorized retailer, you must return it to that retailer. It is possible to return Verizon FIOS equipment via UPS or at some Verizon FIOS stores, but not all stores will accept returns.

Check out the rest of this page if you have additional questions about returning Verizon equipment and Verizon’s Fios return policy.

My Verizon Phone is no Longer Working

The device can be returned to a Verizon store if you purchased it from a Verizon store, customer service, or the company website.

In addition, if you’re returning a mobile device to a Verizon store, you may be charged a $50 restocking fee.

However, if you bought the device from an authorized retailer like Best Buy, you can’t return it to a Verizon store because authorized retailers have their own return policies.

My Verizon router won’t turn on, what do I do?

Call 1-800-Verizon, enter your account number, and then follow the prompts or say you’d like to return equipment if you rented the Verizon router.

Additionally, you have the option of either having a box delivered to you or simply going to a UPS location to drop off the returned equipment.

Your return kit will include a prepaid shipping label, so you won’t have to pay for it yourself.

In order to avoid the unreturned equipment fee, you must return the router within 30 days of disconnecting or canceling your services.

What FIOS equipment is required to be handed over?

Depending on the Verizon FIOS services you’ve used, the equipment you’ll have to return will vary greatly from person to person.

As a result, you should contact customer service to find out what items are required to be returned, such as cable boxes, modems, routers, and other devices. You should then go through the list.

A typical Verizon FIOS installation includes a cable box or set-top box in addition to a variety of additional devices such as adapters, routers, and power cords.

In what location can I return my Verizon box?

It’s possible to return your Verizon FIOS set-top box at most Verizon FIOS store locations.

In some cases, you may need to call your local Verizon FIOS TV store to see if they accept returns of set-top boxes or other products.

Which Verizon stores accept returns?

As a result of the strict return policy enforced by Verizon, you cannot return any of the company’s products to any retail location, even if you purchased them there.

As a result, the best course of action is to contact Verizon’s customer service department and have them direct you to the proper location to return services or items.

Verizon FIOS, in particular, but also Verizon Wireless, requires this, as you don’t want to be charged for unreturned equipment because you sent it to the wrong location.

Is there a Verizon store near me to return equipment?

Accessories purchased at Verizon store locations can be returned to any company store, but products purchased from an authorized retailer cannot be returned to Verizon store locations. Verizon stores accept returns on accessories only.

When returning an accessory purchased from an authorized retailer, such as the Best Buy where you purchased the charging cable, you’ll need to bring the product back to that location.

The return policy for each authorized retailer is different, so you’ll need to contact the store to learn more about the process.

Is it possible to return Verizon equipment late?

If you are more than a day late returning Verizon equipment, you will be charged a late fee. You must return the equipment within 30 days of receiving it in order to avoid these fees.

Contact Verizon, however, to see if there is a way around the late fees if a personal situation arises, such as an emergency hospitalization.

Is there an unreturned equipment charge if I don’t return my equipment?

There is a fee that you must pay if you fail to return Verizon equipment to the nearest authorized Verizon store. The cost will vary depending on the equipment that was supposed to be returned. According to Verizon, the non-returned fees are as follows:

  • Broadband Home Router: $100.00
  • Fios Extender: $145.00
  • Fios Network Extender: $99.00
  • Fios Router: $175.00
  • Verizon Router: $200.00
  • Wi-Fi Extender Mini: $100.00
  • Fiber Service Unit & Power Supply: $210.00
  • Cable Card: $70.00
  • Digital Adapter (DCT700): $90.00
  • Set-top Box – Fios TV One: $375.00
  • Set-top Box – Fios TV One Mini: $115.00
  • Set-top Box – High Definition (also known as HD): $190.00
  • Set-top Box – SD Digital Video Recorder: $330.00
  • Set-top Box – Standard Definition (also known as SD): $160.00
  • Set-top Box – Video Media Client: $115.00
  • Set-top Box – Video Media Server: $375.00
  • Set-top Box – HD Digital Video Recorder: $260.00

You will have to pay the same fees above for any damaged equipment returns that you do make to Verizon.

Do I have to send back my Verizon remote?

Returning your Verizon FIOS equipment to a local store or mailing it back does not necessitate the return of your Verizon remote.

Customers can keep the remotes if they prefer, but if they don’t want them, Verizon will recycle them on their behalf if they send them back.

Bottom Line

Unless you’ve purchased the item directly from Verizon, you can’t return it to a Verizon store.

Aside from that, Verizon FIOS asks that you return any unused equipment via UPS mail or in person at a Verizon FIOS TV store location.

If you return equipment after 30 days of cancellation, you may be charged unreturned equipment fees, so contact Verizon to make sure all required equipment is returned.
