Target, one of the biggest retail chains in the United States, has a generous returns policy that lets shoppers return most items within 90 days after purchase for a full refund.
It’s possible to return a product purchased from Target after the 90-day return policy has expired. The return policy at Target for items purchased after 90 days is as follows:

Once 90 days have elapsed, Target will no longer accept returns. Within one year of purchase, customers are allowed to return private-label products purchased at a Target store to get a full refund or exchange. In addition to the 90-day return window, Target Red Card holders get an additional 30 days to return purchases.

How do I get a product back to Target after 90 days after using it?
The RedCard Extended Returns program is available to Target RedCard credit or debit cardholders.
Additional 30 days of return policy are available to customers who use the Target Debit, Credit or MasterCard RedCard.
As a result, normal things can be returned for 120 days, electronics (except Apple devices) can be returned for 60 days, and Apple products can be returned for 45 days.
The program does have some exceptions, however, which users should be aware of. The return of: is not included in the extended period.
- Items geared toward the optical industry
- Items that can’t be returned (i.e., opened movies, video games, software, collectibles, hazardous items)
- Phones on a contract
To get a refund or an exchange, bring your unused product, the original receipt, and the credit card you used to make the transaction to the store’s customer service desk.
After the cut-off date, Target has the right to deny any returns.
Which Target products aren’t returnable after 90 days?
A New Day, Market Pantry, All In Motion, Opalhouse, Bullseye’s Playground, Room Essentials, and more can be returned by customers if they are not satisfied.
You have one year from the date of purchase to request an exchange or refund if the goods is opened, defective, or used.
To qualify for a refund or exchange, most general products (such as apparel and home decor, regular cleaning equipment, etc.) must be unopened or in new condition.
While most products can be returned for a period of up to 90 days, there are a few exceptions.
Returned electronics and entertainment devices from Target have a 30-day return period. Returned Apple gadgets only have a 15-day return period.
Mobile phones and drones, on the other hand, must be returned within 14 days.
As a result, different vendors’ return policies and timelines may be enforced by different Target Plus Partners.
What Happens If I Don’t Have A Receipt To Return An Item To Target?
After 90 days without a receipt, you can no longer return an item to Target.
But if you have digital barcodes or packing slips, you may be able to get store credit or an exchange instead.
The product’s current in-store sale price will be used as the basis for determining the value of an exchange.
You’ll need a government-issued identification ID to trace your returns because Target only permits $150 in returns per customer without a receipt.
If you have a solid cause for returning a product beyond 90 days without a receipt, you can speak to the manager at your local Target store to see if they’ll accept it.
Is There a Refund Policy at Target?
You can’t get a refund from Target beyond 90 days.
Even if the goods has been opened, you may be able to get a refund for the current price of the item provided it’s still in its original packaging and condition.
