Many Texans are surprised to learn that Walmart carries a wide selection of alcoholic beverages.

When it comes to buying alcohol, you should be aware of a few rules and regulations.

The Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission’s website provides a state-specific guideline for the sale of alcohol to Walmart customers in Texas.

As a result, establishments that stock it are permitted to sell beer and wine only during the following hours:

  • Monday through Friday (7 am-midnight)
  • Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Sunday is the day of rest (noon-midnight)
