Many of Lowe’s items are geared toward contractors, and as a result, consumers like to purchase in quantity, so you may get your order on pallets.

If you wish to dispose of your used pallets, you’ve reached the perfect location. I was curious as to whether Lowe’s buys pallets, so I did some research and discovered the following!

In 2022, will Lowe’s buy pallets?

As of 2022, Lowe’s no longer purchases old pallets from customers. Recently, Lowe’s has started evaluating the effectiveness of reusing and recycling pallets within its shops, although it does not currently compensate consumers for returning used pallets. Customers may also sell their used pallets on Craigslist and to local manufacturers.

What Does Lowe’s Do With Their Used Pallets?

In an effort to decrease waste, Lowe’s Reverse Logistics team has began reusing, repairing, and recycling old pallets used across Lowe’s operations.

Lowe’s collaborates with wood recyclers to ensure that all non-reusable pallets are appropriately recycled.

Which Companies Buy Pallets?

Although Lowe’s does not presently accept old pallets from consumers, several other businesses will buy or recycle your used pallets for cash. Examples of locations that accept old pallets include:

  • Craigslist is a simple choice for locating local buyers or posting an advertisement for your old pallets.
  • Local manufacturers could be ready to accept your used pallets. You may need to negotiate a price, though!
  • Kamps has approximately 150 sites in the United States that purchase and recycle used pallets. Through Kamps, you receive a price based on the quality of the pallet, and depending on your location, they may charge extra for transportation.
  • Using the North American Pallet Recycling Network to identify a pallet broker.
Local woodworking or furniture schools may accept your surplus pallets, however they may not pay as much as other possibilities.
  • Atlantic Pallet Exchange will pay for certain sizes of pallets. In addition, they provide removal of all pallets, albeit you may not be compensated for certain pallet sizes.
  • The Internet is another great resource for locating local pallet recyclers and brokers.

You may be able to find a buyer for your used pallets from other local firms, but they may not pay you for it.

Which companies are involved in the sale of wooden pallets?

Despite the fact that Lowe’s sells wood panels that may be used to create your own pallets, no pre-made pallets appear to be sold there.

Pallets are available for purchase at Home Depot. Wood, PVC, aluminum, and steel are just a few of the materials used to make the pallets sold by Home Depot.

At Home Depot, pallets range in price from $34.99 to $389, depending on the material and the pallet’s dimensions. Wooden pallets can also be found in these locations:

  • Using the internet to find pallet brokers in your neighborhood.
  • Craigslist
  • Marketplace on Facebook
  • Websites that are no longer being updated
  • The term “micro” refers to enterprises that are (they may throw away their pallets)

Bottom Line

Currently, Lowe’s does not accept old pallets from consumers for resale. There are a number of ways to sell your old pallets, including posting them on Craigslist, contacting local pallet brokers, and contacting manufacturers in your region.

In addition, Lowe’s does not sell pallets, but it does offer wood materials for the construction of your own. Reusing and recycling existing pallets from Lowe’s has reduced the quantity of new wood used and the amount of garbage generated.
