2022 Gift Card Refund Policy at Walgreens
As of 2022, Walgreens will not accept the return of any Walgreens or third-party gift cards, even with the original receipt.
Consider presenting it to a family member or friend, or exchanging it for cash with a frequent Walgreens (or third-party retailer) customer.

Walgreens Gift Cards Can Be Returned With A Receipt.
It is more likely that Walgreens will accept a return if the consumer has the original receipt to show for it. If you have the original receipt, you may try returning the gift card to Walgreens.
A Walgreens gift card may be returned within 30 days after purchase.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase at Walgreens under an official policy. Even if you’re under the 30-day restriction, you can’t get a refund on a gift card from Walgreens since they’re not returnable.
What should you do if you no longer want a gift card?
It’s possible to recycle your Walgreens gift card in one of the following ways:
- When celebrating a milestone birthday or wedding anniversary, consider giving a gift card to a family member or close friend.
- With a frequent customer of the business, you may exchange the gift card for cash.
- Prescription pharmaceuticals, general products, over-the-counter treatments, cosmetics and gadgets may all be purchased with a Walgreens gift card.t for the product
